Testimonials:

Here’s what some of our participants had to say about their rides:

Loved paying more attention to the things I bike past on a daily basis! Chatting to neighbours (from afar of course) and getting out an enjoying a sunny bike ride!” -Katie H.

“My husband and I recently moved to Victoria. We made a goal that we wanted to build and become part of our new community. When we found out about the Scavenger Hunt in lieu of Bike to Work Week, we threw on our bike helmets and took off to discover our incredible neighbourhood through “the hunt”. It was such fun to learn about the well, the cute tiny theatre, see the beautiful camas, and discover so many murals and paintings. We had a lovely afternoon on our bikes and seeing others joining in on the fun. We are truly feeling part of this community. Thank you for organizing such a fun event and looking forward to more.” -Katherine C.

What a great route! I loved all the off road trails, many of which I got to enjoy for the first time. I didn’t realize you could bike on the Elk Lake trail, which I have only ever run on, so it was great to bike on there too. And I’d never ridden the trails out near Camosun and the Colquitz River Trail, and loved riding along there. It was also really cool to see all the farm animals out to the west of Elk Lake. Saw horses, sheep, and heard many others too. Can’t wait to do this route again sometime!” -Mark S.

Stay tuned for our next series of Neighbourhood Rides, launching on Friday May 22nd for the City of Victoria, Oak Bay, Langford/Colwood, and Cedar Hill.
