Fostering Diversity and Inclusion in Capital Bike

Fostering Diversity and Inclusion in Capital Bike

In September 2020, Capital Bike was approached by Erica Camfferman, a Masters in Leadership student at Royal Roads University, to collaborate on her Engaged Leadership Project.

Erica loves to cycle and was wondering how inclusive Capital Bike was and if that could be improved. Our Board jumped at the chance to work with Erica on this important project.

Erica helped us discover many important things about the Society, its membership, and what we can do to be more inclusive to everyone. As an outcome of this work, the Board established a new Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Commitee. This Committee’s mission is to tackle the recommendations of Erica’s Report.
