Go By Bike Week

Fall Go By Bike Week 2022

(October 3 – 9)

This bi-annual FREE event (formerly Bike to Work Week) encourages anyone in the Capital Region to give cycling a try for one week.

Why Register?

Cycling is proven to improve happiness and productivity, as well as both mental and physical health! With gas prices on the rise, there is no better time to leave the car at home. Not to mention, it’s super fun!

Aside from personal benefits, Capital Bike organizes Celebration Stations along popular cycling routes, runs challenges, and offers over $15,000 worth of prizes.

Additionally, Go By Bike Week is a strong advocacy tool for us. These numbers help us work with local leaders to improve cycling in Greater Victoria.

How To Participate

Put simply, register, go for a bike ride, and log a ride on GoByBikeBC.ca!

To get the most out of Go By Bike Week, visit one of our famous Celebration Stations, start a team and ride with friends, have a little friendly competition, and leave the car at home!

Plus, the more you ride, the better prizes you’re eligible to win!

Celebration Stations

To encourage riding during Go By Bike Week (Oct 3-9), we set up Celebration Stations along popular cycling routes! Any wheeled gas-free vehicles welcome (bikes, scooters, one-wheels, skateboards, etc.)!

At each station, you’ll find:

This is a great opportunity to chat with like-minded people about all things cycling!

The 28th annual Go By Bike Week Launch was a huge success!

Held at the historic Market Square on April 20th, with incredible food from Green Cuisine, we truly enjoyed hearing from all of our speakers.

We’re so grateful for all the team leaders, volunteers, Board members, and Go By Bike enthusiasts who attended and continue to support our work.
