Membership

We are a member-based, non-profit organization. Since 1991, we have helped get our regional trails built, new bikeways from Sooke and Sidney, and much more. And we’re only getting started. In 2019, the GVCC and the Greater Victoria Bike to Work Society joined forces to form Capital Bike. This means your membership now supports an even wider array of initiatives and programs.

By joining us, you are supporting our mission of getting more people cycling, more places, more often. Your membership fees and donations support our advocacy and education initiatives, as well as the events we host and community-building activities.

Note: Capital Bike was formed in 2019 through a merger between the Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition and Greater Victoria Bike to Work Society. As per the new society’s bylaws, all members are entitled to a single vote per membership, and if you have an active membership through either of the previously recognized organizations, that membership will be applied to Capital Bike until it expires.
