Truth & Reconciliation Day Ride: September 30th

Truth & Reconciliation Day Ride: September 30th

We are proud to announce that on September 30th, we will again lead a Truth & Reconciliation Day Ride.

Ride starts at Songhees Park at 9:15 AM. Diane Sam, of Songhees First Nation, will talk about the impact of residential schools and the land we live and play on.

This will be a parade-style ride, using the full road, with VidPD closing the road off to automobile traffic.   At 11:30 AM, we will arrive at the South Island Powwow.

The Locker Bike Valet will be at the Powwow, free as always.

This ride is in honour of residential school survivors and their families and is in partnership with Victoria Orange Shirt Day.

This ride is kindly supported by Mike and Rebecca Miller, the City of Victoria, and WestUrban Developments Ltd.
