The Locker

Give your attendees peace of mind. Provide secure bike parking at your event.

About The Locker

The Locker is a parking service for bicycles, scooters, one-wheels, hoverboards, or whatever micromobility vehicle your guests use to travel to your event. Our amazing staff provides portable bike racks and our tag system to ensure the safety and security of all checked belongings.

How does it work?

Prior to your event, we put up signage directing attendees to our bike parking.
As people arrive, we check their bikes with our tag system.
When customers return for their bikes, we exchange their tag for the bike and belongings.

Where can The Locker offer bicycle parking?

The Locker offers valet bicycle parking for almost any event from Sooke to Sidney. For events expecting more than 200 bikes, we need at least 4 weeks’ notice.

Leftover Bikes

All leftover bikes are transported safely to the Capital Bike office. Event organizers are informed of this policy in case someone calls looking for their bike. Bikes are kept for up to 3 days to give users a chance to pick them up. Note that there is a retrieval fee of $40.

Other Services

  • We can train your volunteers or employees to run Bike Valet as part of setup.
  • We rent our racks for pickup, delivery, and setup — whatever you need.
  • Booking a full service Bike Valet includes a complimentary shout-out on our social media (22,000 contacts).

Is special pricing available for bike parking?

As a non-profit focused on cycling advocacy and education, The Locker is happy to consider supporting non-profit or charitable events, particularly those oriented towards cycling. In the past, we have also supported events like the Burnside Gorge Community Festival and the Tour de Victoria. For events like these, we are happy to work something out! Our goal is to make cycling fun, accessible, and safe.
